Women’s Freestyle
In Women’s Wrestling, Freestyle is the only style used at international competition and the Freestyle rules apply with the exception of the use of ‘Double Nelsons’ which are strictly forbidden. Women’s wrestling made its Olympic debut at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
The lead countries for Women’s Freestyle wrestling are Japan, Russia, Ukraine, China and Bulgaria.

Men’s Greco-Roman
In Greco-Roman wrestling, it is strictly forbidden to grasp the opponent below the belt line, or to trip him or to use the legs actively to perform any action.
The lead countries for Men’s Greco-Roman wrestling are Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria and Turkey.
